December 21, 2001: Unfortunately, we have lost another company to the dot-com collapse. This time, Caresoft, the company which provided The Daily Apple and our on-line lab results, has folded. For the time being, there is no way for your to access your laboratory results on-line. We are disappointed by this, but we have no control over it. Companies offering free services are finding it a tough go these days. I will monitor for a replacement and post it as soon as one is available.

We sincerely regret to inform you that, due to circumstances beyond our control, TheDailyApple will no longer be able to provide access to personal Laboratory Results provided by Quest Diagnostics Incorporated.
This will mean the following for you:
At TheDailyApple we strongly believe in our vision and your rights to have direct access to, and independent control of, your personal Laboratory Results. We have worked hard to be the first group to have made that vision into a successful reality. So, it is deeply saddening -- both as a company and to each of us personally -- that we will no longer able to provide this valuable service to each of you.
